The CHRISTCHURCH BAY directory is a huge ‘thank you’ to all the great people we have had the pleasure of going afloat with over many years.
This is an outstanding area for doing all kinds of watersports and I was lucky enough to grow up here. From an early age if it floated I wanted to be on it – from boards to boats to racing sailing dinghies and cruisers in Christchurch Bay, Poole and the Solent - then the boats got bigger and faster!!
First it was crossing the Channel then the Atlantic. Offshore racing included the legendary Fastnet, RORC, Admirals Cup, Southern Ocean Racing Conference in Florida and International Maxi series in the Bahamas. Running charter companies and boat deliveries took me to Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, USA and the Caribbean.
For over 20 years we owned action sports, surf, windsurf and watersports shops in Highcliffe, Mudeford, Southbourne and Bournemouth. The experts are our friends plus we have met thousands of people visiting this area who ask the same questions as us when they go somewhere new...

I still go to the gym, cycle, paddle kayaks, sail and run a specialist RIB and powerboat training school in Christchurch. I hope CHRISTCHURCH BAY inspires you to get active
